NECSP deploys 3 primary issue groups and media teams to
facilitate our stated mission.

Each team is tasked with continually developing NECSP's
expertise in their topic area.
This includes creating original
research for publication, responding to issues within the region
on their topic with press releases and letters to the editor and
making proactive attempts to reach out to media.

Each primary team is also always looking to recruit additional
motivated members.

The ultimate mission of these teams is to provide umbrella
support for such "on-ground-organizations" within New
England. They do this in at least three ways.

1) By coalitioning with them to whatever extent is found
mutually satisfying and helpful.

2) By creating strong, ongoing relationships with various
members of the New England media and their organizations,
so we that we serve as a "go-to" group when it comes to
providing population information, opinions and experts to their
stories.

3) Helping the different New England organizations working in
our primary issue areas get to know about each other,
developing and strengthening affiliations, partnerships, and
coalitions -- in order to both reduce duplication and
fragmentation, and promote cooperative efforts, funding ideas,
etc.

With luck, care and tremendous effort we believe that all three
of the above efforts with begin to synergize with each other,
establishing NECSP as a useful regional friend to all those in
our area working for effective social and ecological change
with the knowledge that the population issue is necessarily a
key component of that change.
